Entering a New World

Hello,

I hope everybody had a wonderful weekend and a food-filled Thanksgiving. I didn’t take part in any intense Black Friday shop-a-thons but I DID take advantage of the sales. This past Friday I slept in until about 8am-ish (Yes, that’s me sleeping in) and decided I should head to Best Buy. My initial thoughts were to just drop by and browse the amiibo section. Maybe I would find one I didn’t have? I ended up finding Falco and Mable so I tossed them into my shopping basket. Little did I know that not only would I be walking out with two new amiibo and a set of amiibo cards but, I’d also be walking out with a nice new touch-screen Lenovo gaming laptop. Well, okay they were out of stock so I walked out with the receipt containing the order of my nice new touch-screen Lenovo gaming laptop… (teehee)… When I woke up I seriously had no idea I’d end up being granted one of my biggest wishes ever. Having a gaming laptop was something I thought I wouldn’t be able to have until I could afford to buy one myself. It was always something I wanted but decided to push to the back of my mind. I didn’t want for myself to constantly be wishing and hoping for something I knew would never happen. Little did I know that my dream was going to become a reality.

For some of you who are familiar with my blog you probably are aware that I have always been a Nintendo-dedicated gamer. As I flipped through the pages of my Gameinformer magazine I’d merely glance over the pages containing games I would never be able to play and read the Nintendo stuff in more detail. Of course, that kind of means I’m skipping most of the magazine which…kinda sucked. However, now I can slowly immerse myself in a new world of gaming. I spent some time yesterday shopping through the Steam store to take advantage of their Black Friday deals. No wonder people complain about Nintendo… Their games never go on sale. Just look at all the top-rated games on Steam that are 50% to 80% off! I dropped about 50 bucks and bought 7 games (Bioshock, Bioshock 2, Bioshock Infinite, Shadow of Mordor, Tombraider, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag gold edition, and Amnesia: Memories), I’m going to be having a really great Christmas vacation everybody (:

It feels pretty amazing. I’m under the impression that I’m about to embark on a new adventure (sounds cheesy but, that’s how I feel). No longer will I be in the darkness gawking at the amazing graphics of some of those non-Nintendo games. I mean, Nintendo games are beautiful but Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag for example… I haven’t seen it with my own eyes yet but of the videos I’ve seen… It’s jaw-dropping. I guess most people might be reading this and find it to be old news but for me it’s really like entering a new world!

Now that you’ve read (or skimmed) through everything I wrote here is something that’s probably a little more significant to my readers. Since I now have access to the “more mature” games (I really hate saying that as it makes it seem like Nintendo games are for “babies”) you will be seeing me writing about them on here too 😀 I’ve been kind of bad recently on posting >_>; Buttttt, I’ll try. Well, just so you know, the laptop is a Christmas gift so I won’t be opening it until the 25th of December. For the sake of my finals I must restrain myself…

Thanks for reading! Happy Holidays everybody and happy gaming!~

P.S. I have no clue which game I’ll be starting with… I’d gladly take suggestions on which one to begin with! I’d also love suggestions on any other game series I should try (I enjoy adventure games like Skyrim and shooters but, I’m open to anything. As long as it’s good!)

Back from Hiatus

Hello everybody,

it’s been forever since I last wrote here. Life has been incredibly busy for the past several months. However, I’m happy to say I still (somehow) made time for gaming…Maybe I wasn’t as busy as I thought I was?

Anyway, I’m currently playing Yokai Watch and am enjoying it immensely. I think it’s safe to say that you guys can expect a review of it in the upcoming weeks!

Also…random blurbs about some recent Nintendo news!

I’m a huge fan of the Zero Escape series and my first video gaming dream that came true this year was to see Zero Escape 3 come out of video game development oblivion. It wasn’t certain whether or not this game would ever get finished but…IT WILL. I am so excited about this!

My second video gaming dream that was fulfilled was for Dragon Quest to come back to North America. As many of you Nintendo fans may know Nintendo had a much needed Direct a couple weeks ago. This was the direct that announced one of my childhood favorites would be returning sometime in 2016!

Now I want nothing. I am completely content.

Not sure if I’ll be commenting on the Direct but I might. Depends on if I can squeeze it into this Thanksgiving break.

Happy Holidays everybody! Don’t eat too much. (…Wait, what am I saying?)
